External carbon monoxide and smoke sensor for the warning devices GX-A1+ or GX-HS, detects all undesirable gases in the living room air and smoke originating from combustion. As an all-rounder with high cross-sensitivities, this sensor covers a broad spectrum, but it does not replace either a smoke detector or a carbon monoxide detector and serves more to detect technical defects or leaks than to ensure the safety of human health.
