The optical warning device detects increased CO2 levels in indoor spaces where many people regularly spend time. Typically, these are classrooms, lecture halls, waiting rooms, offices with public traffic, conference rooms, but also production facilities, open-plan offices and, in general, event rooms or all indoor rooms.1400 ppm CO2 in the room air is already considered "very bad air", the maximum workplace concentration MAK in Germany is 5000 ppm, the CO2 traffic light "medical" reminds with its yellow light already very early from 800 ppm to extensively ventilate the room.Who permanently has to breathe bad and stale air, gets tired and clearly loses performance and concentration. The immune system is also weakened, or noticeably strengthened and stabilized when fresh air is always available, which can even be seen in the number of sick days over the year in open-plan offices, for example.The only remedy for bad air is regular draught ventilation, which is often and gladly forgotten. This is exactly where the CO2 traffic light comes in. Not only does it issue a warning in the event of a sharp increase in harmful concentrations, it also encourages people to ventilate in good time, even before the warning tone sounds at the highest warning level.

Important information about all CO-2 traffic lights

Please do not unplug your traffic light overnight! The traffic light uses the nightly rest periods to calibrate itself properly - just like during regular, daily shock ventilation in the rooms. Therefore, please leave the traffic light permanently switched on, i.e. on, during operating and/or school hours. The traffic light memorizes the lowest CO2 concentration of the last 7 days and always resets itself to its theoretical zero point in this rhythm. For this auto-calibration, the weekly average is much more meaningful than a daily average. To save energy, the traffic light has a light sensor that darkens the LEDs after 10 minutes in absolute darkness, thus lowering the total power requirement.

That is why it is so important to supply the traffic lights with power even at night.

Only in case of school vacations / company vacations of more than 7 days, the traffic light can be taken off the network.
