The Gas Alarm GX-HS is a gas detector for various gases and already warns at a gas concentration that is far below the life-threatening value. This monitoring system is therefore set very sensitive according to its purpose. A suitable sensor must be used for each gas type. (Information on triggering and minimum concentration can be found in each case in the operating instructions for the sensor). The alarm signal is given visually and acoustically on the device (optionally, an external buzzer/piezo alarm can be connected to the device). In addition, a potential-free relay is switched, e.g. to switch a solenoid shut-off valve (lock gas supply line) with the relay, so that no further gas can escape at a possible leak in the gas line or in the gas boiler and to operate a switching input in the building control system with a second relay / fault relay.
Assembly instructions
The warning device and the sensor may only be installed in dry indoor areas and must be placed correctly, depending on the type of gas, to ensure proper functioning of the warning device.
The assembly must be carried out by a qualified specialist. Please observe the five safety rules!
Top-hat rail mounting
The Gas Alarm GX-HS is installed in distribution boards and control cabinets on a standard 35 mm DIN rail (top-hat rail).
Sensor mounting Depending on the type of sensor connected, the device detects different gases, e.g. town gas and natural gas (methane/butane), carbon monoxide and smoke or carbon dioxide. For each sensor type a prescribed mounting height is necessary, because gases have different properties and distribute themselves accordingly in the room. For cable extensions, it is imperative that you observe the operating instructions for the sensor.
