The GX-D500P CO2 detector is a professional warning device with fixed alarm thresholds at 1.5% CO2 for pre-alarm and 3.0% CO2 for main alarm. The application is versatile, it can also monitor air in thermally demanding environments. Be it particularly cold rooms such as cooling systems with beverage dispensers and dry ice storage for vaccination centres or particularly warm and hot rooms. This is made possible by an intake system that expands and connects the room to be monitored with a thick-walled silicone hose.
The threshold value for the alarm, which is clearly perceptible both acoustically and visually, was deliberately chosen so high that poor room air caused by exhaled CO2 from people does not lead to false alarms, but defects in technical systems are detected immediately and reliably. The exact values are based on the specifications of the technical guidelines for beverage dispensing systems in the catering industry. In the event of an alarm, a potential-free changeover relay (230 V~ / 5 A) switches over, which can, for example, activate forced ventilation or close solenoid shut-off valves. Another potential-free changeover relay (60 V= / 5 A) switches in the event of technical faults detected by the device itself and thus informs the building management system, for example. In monitoring mode, both relays are energized and de-energized in the event of an alarm / fault.
A large illuminated 2×16 character display constantly informs about the currently measured CO2 value and, when scrolling through with the SERVICE button, about further status messages of the device. Thus, the temperatures inside the device are monitored, the alarms are counted, an error code is displayed in case of technical malfunctions or even the CO2 concentration at the last alarm is recorded in ppm.
The GX-D500P is intended for fixed vertical installation on a wall, ideally next to the door that allows entry into the monitored room, in order to obtain information about the CO2 concentration inside before entering the room. The hose leads out of the bottom of the unit and should only be led through the wall after at least 100 cm, so that the possibly particularly high or low temperatures can adapt to those of the unit. With one meter of hose, temperatures from -30°C to +70°C, with two meters of hose even from -70°C to +120°C can be sucked in. For particularly dusty environments, a dust filter (Art. No. 300259) is available as an option.
With the optionally available USB calibration adapter cable, a zero point adjustment of the sensor can be carried out by the user himself on a regular basis or as required, because every sensor is subject to a natural drift. The preset spread of the warning thresholds is always maintained and can only be changed ex works.
