The GX-D250 is a carbon dioxide warning device with ppm accurate measurement and display of CO2 concentration, as well as display and storage of many operating parameters on a plain text display. The NDIR infrared sensor with high lifetime is permanently monitored by two μControllers and provides precise results with high repeatability. From 1000 ppm you are already warned with a discreet warning tone that it is time to ventilate again, from 2500 ppm the highest warning level is reached, the built-in piezo sound generator becomes louder and more intrusive and the potential-free changeover relay drops.
In the event of technical faults detected by the device itself, e.g. a cable break, a second relay switches to inform the building management system, for example. The GX-D250 provides the power supply required for the sensor, the concentration is transmitted digitally as pulse width modulation and can thus be interpreted very accurately by the warning device. The two relays are ideal for activating forced ventilation via the building management system.
The highest alarm threshold has been set at half the MAK of 2500 ppm CO2, but can be alternatively parameterized by Elektrotechnik Schabus according to customer requirements. Talk to us.
The external sensor with 2.5 m cable is pre-assembled and should be mounted on a wall, just like the warning device itself. The mounting height of the sensor determines the sensitivity of the system, as CO2 tends to collect at the bottom. If the system is too sensitive for you, hang the sensor higher, if the system is too tolerant for you, hang the sensor a little further down. In general, it has proven useful to place the sensor at the average nose height of the people in the room, because that is the layer of air that people also breathe back in.
The CO2 warning device GX-D250 monitors indoor rooms where many people regularly stay for exhaled carbon dioxide and is not suitable for CO2 from technical systems that are under pressure, as well as rooms where dry ice is used. For these monitoring applications the GX-D500P is much more suitable for these monitoring applications, because the alarm thresholds of the GX-D500P are much higher with 15,000 ppm for pre-alarm and 30,000 ppm for the main alarm. https://youtu.be/rtyMkpKwL7s
