SCHABUS float switches are built and tested individually by hand, they are reliable, maintenance and wear free and easy to install.
The mini float made of V2A stainless steel is more resistant to certain media (e.g. weak acids or alkalis) and is particularly suitable for food processing due to its resistant properties and because bacteria do not colonize stainless steel so easily.
There is a ring magnet in the float, and a reed contact cast in Wepuran® in the shaft. When the float moves upwards, the reed contact is closed. The shaft is milled and turned from solid V2A material and is correspondingly expensive to manufacture.
The switching contact closes from approx. 4 cm level height, the switching capacity is max. 10 Watt (limit data 25 V AC / 60 V DC / 500 mA). With voltages up to 5 volts and currents up to 1 mA, up to 1 trillion switching operations are possible.
Water detectors from Elektrotechnik Schabus comply with this limit, here a square-wave AC voltage of 2.5 Vpp is always switched to high impedance, i.e. with very low current.
Mini float switches are basically used where a water level is signaled, i.e. in tanks, cisterns, wells, in the pump sump and in all other liquid containers. The cable can be manufactured by us accordingly longer on request, please indicate this when ordering.
